Custody and Support

Eastern Pennsylvania Child Custody and Support Attorney

In divorce, often it becomes easy to allow other disputes to distract parents from what is most important: the happiness and well-being of the children. When it comes to your children, I share your goal of protecting their security, stability and opportunities to reach their full potential despite the marital separation of their parents.

As a family law attorney, I work with clients to protect the interests of children. I will help you and your children adapt to your new situation. Contact me, Keith D. Cacciatore, to schedule a consultation regarding your child custody matter.

Determining Child Custody and Visitation Schedules

As your attorney, I will help you understand the issues that will have an impact on your children. I will help you determine what is best for your children. I work with you to present your wishes to the court in regard to custody and visitation. I will be a strong advocate for your position.

If you are the custodial parent and you want to relocate your family for a job or for any other reason, you will need to file for court approval unless the other parent agrees. I have handled numerous relocation hearings and have worked out satisfactory agreements for my clients.

Honoring a Child Support Agreement

It is likely that the noncustodial parent will be ordered to pay regular child support. The amount will be determined by a mathematical formula the court uses. This amount is intended to provide the resources your child needs and deserves to maintain a quality standard of life.

If you are the paying parent and you find you are unable to live up to your payment responsibilities, it is essential to file for a modification. Many parents seek modifications when they experience job loss or a significant change in income. However, when a parent does not take action and fails to make the court-ordered payments, he or she will be considered in contempt of court and subject to penalty.

Representing both mothers and fathers, I help parents work through issues of divorce, including child support, custody and visitation agreements. Whether it is for an initial petition, a modification petition or an action to block modification. I am available to help you present your position to the court. Contact my firm
